Still muttering the word "homeless" to myself, I went to a local coffee house, this morning, but turned around and left again, after I saw a sign on its glass door that read:
NO LOITERING
VIOLATORS
WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE!
Imagine that kind of message being being placed at the entrance of a coffee house in a small town.........how disgusting is that?
HOMELESS
I passed a starbucks in the supermarket, where a couple of dirty chairs and tables surrounded by boxes and other forms of desolation, was just about the last place any human being would want to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee.......yet there were people sitting there. As if the company's insult had not penetrated into their souls.
HOMELESS
A homeless population. Imagine that. I think it filters down from State and National Governments that refuse to protect us. From greedy corporations that leave our workforce without jobs. It's a message that shouts:
"YOU DON'T COUNT"
It's what's being broadcast to all Americans. To a military force that was ordered to re-organize a country where no one speaks their language and where they themselves can't understand a word of what anyone there is saying to them. And then, those who sent them there, proceed to tell them that it is THEY, who failed, and that their buddies died for nothing?
"YOU DON'T COUNT"
Is being broadcast to all Americans who lost their homes and their jobs after Katrina and the other 3 disasters, and whose insurance companies simply refuse to pay what's due them.
"YOU DON'T COUNT"
Is being perpetrated by a US Government that's more concerned with supporting the needs of people in 190 other countries throughout the world, than with the physical safety and economic protection of those who elected them.
"YOU DON'T COUNT"
Americans have been told that for so long and so often, that, like every other abused entity, they have actually begun to believe it. And like any other
ABUSED POPULATION
they have started to imitate its mandate with abusive signs for each other.......with dirty teen centers for their children.......and with a strange inability to shout:
WE DO SO, COUNT!
America is lost and sad.
America is cold and lonely.
America is confused and utterly homeless.
